HTP-8 2.1 Gallon Potable Water Expansion Tank 3/4″ Male NPT, 40 PSI Pre-charge

This potable water expansion tank is used on gas, oil, or electric, direct-fired, residential water heater and hot water storage tank applications to absorb the increased volume of water created by thermal expansion. It also maintains balanced pressure throughout the water supply system by keeping system pressure below the T&P relief valve setting. This field-adjustable steel tank is air pre-charged at 40 psi, volume 2.1 gallons, designed with an FDA-approved polypropylene liner and Butyl rubber diaphragm and 3/4 inch male inlet connection. An expansion membrane prevents air-to-water contact in the tank ensuring a long system life. NSF 61 certified. The maximum pressure is 150 psi (10 bar). Features Built with a stainless-steel system connection with patented Leak safe technology. Inside the tank is a Heavy-duty, butyl rubber diaphragm with 400% elongation physical property. A polypropylene liner separates the water from the pre-charged air chamber. The tank controls excessive pressure generated inside the water heater using sealed compressible air cushion space to store and hold the addition expansion water volume.
